- I made sections for each "set" of similar logos. If some are misplaced, feel free to move them about, but please do so quickly before many people make comments based on the sets as they are currently. – Mike.lifeguard | @en.wb 02:30, 19 March 2008 (UTC)
Well done Mike, now let's involve the communities of all Wikibooks! I going to translate the current status and post an advertisement on it.wikibooks pub :-). --Ramac 15:22, 19 March 2008 (UTC)
- I don't think those type of section headers are needed. I've tried to suggest people voice there reasons and arguments for being for or against each logo, in order to encourage more discussion then simply voting within the heading at the beginning of the discussion section. That way more feedback is gained about the current choices and improvements can me made to the overall design. I think a simple support/oppose vote would discourage feedback which wouldn't be helpful at this point on improving the designs. Doing the way I've tried to set it up hopefully allow both feedback and a means of narrowing the number down to 10 final choices as was proposed. I've tried to borrow this concept from how some things are done on Meta as it seems to be useful for this of process. --darklama 13:23, 20 March 2008 (UTC)
"After a period of about a month the top 10 logos which have the most support will have a final round of discussion to pick a final logo."Edit
You are kidding right?
Why does Wikimedia waste so much time? We have the proposed logos so just vote for them. What's the point in voting (or discussing or whatever) and then having yet another vote? Having multiple votes just alienates most people leaving a hardcore of people (many of whom don't use Wikibooks projects) to make the decision. JUST VOTE!--126.96.36.199 20:48, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
- See the discussion above, and Polls are evil. We are trying to get a consensus about the logo, not just having lot of different votes. Morover, discussion needs also to improve each logo. --Ramac 18:09, 11 April 2008 (UTC)
- It's just a bloody logo. Don't lecture me about Wiki beaurocracy, I've heard it all before. You can pretend it's not a vote but the fact is that it is. The only way it'll differ from a normal vote is that it last so much longer and that more weight will probably be given to those who are administrators on here. Just post all the possible pretty images, let people say which they prefer and then be done with. We are not choosing the next idiotic president of the USA - we are choosing a logo for a website. --188.8.131.52 20:02, 18 April 2008 (UTC)
