Pilot project edit

We are running a pilot project with UNESCO to improve Wikipedia by using text from open license publications to create new articles and improve existing ones. Please start by using the instructions linked to at the top of the page to learn how to add open license text to English Wikipedia.

There are two broad approaches to adding open license text from UNESCO publication to Wikipedia

  1. Look at the Text suggested by subject matter experts at UNESCO section of the page and find Wikipedia articles that the sections of text could be added to.
  2. Use the UNESCO publications guide to find open license publications on subjects you are interested in and use text from those publications.

This is very much a work in progress so all feedback on instructions, workflow etc are very welcome.

Thanks

Hi all

Are there any specific topics people are interested in that I can try and find UNESCO open access publications for?

Thanks

Hey John is this and other links (if applicable) of any use as a reference? Or it's only the UNESCO doc that can be referenced WaterAid Ghana calls gov’t to action on access to sanitation Sandiooses (talk) 07:57, 24 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

Hi Sandiooses, yes please use whatever references you like on top of the references given in the UNESCO publications. Thanks, --John Cummings (talk) 15:04, 27 November 2016 (UTC)Reply
