Semi-protected edit request on 18 October 2022

have tried to correct an article which has a number of Historical inaccuracies. Each time the corrections were reverted and I was advised my edits were somehow incorrect or a matter of opinion. Its there any way to get around this automatic reversion. The article contains many errors but I am told that is just my opinion. This appears to be a determined effort to prevent wikipedia telling the correct story. Is there no appeal? Hoydan (talk) 10:46, 18 October 2022 (UTC)

@Hoydan: Please discuss about the issue on article's talk page. That would be an appropriate venue. — Tulsi 24x7 12:19, 18 October 2022 (UTC)

"Info and permission queue (other than permissions-commons) are categorized by language, not by project"

Hello - the statement "Info and permission queue (other than permissions-commons) are categorized by language, not by project. For example, the info-zh queue deals with all matters written in Chinese, whether they are about Chinese Wikipedia, other Chinese sister projects or Chinese-related issue in multilingual projects such as Commons" is pretty hard to square with the existence of sister project-specific info queues like info-commons@ . Am I the only person that's been confused by this in the past? It feels like maybe those "sister-project" queues should get a bit more attention on this page - e.g. actually providing the info-commons@ address? PBradley-WMF (talk) 18:16, 15 November 2022 (UTC)

In practice, info queues tend to be sorted by project language and permissions queues are sorted by ticket language (with the exception of permissions-commons, which handles mostly English-language tickets relating to Commons). AntiCompositeNumber (talk) 21:30, 15 November 2022 (UTC)

Template in file File:Barbara_Prashnig.jpg

I'm helping someone on Polish Wikipedia, she follow all the rules the author most likely send email permissions address. But the file doesn't have a template that indicated that it's valid. Can you confirm that the email was sent and the proper permission to the photo was given? There was a long chain of people involved. The person on Wikipedia I'm helping, wants to no create an article about this person, contacted Barbara and she talk to the author of the photo. So I don't have a way to confirm that the email was sent (it will be really cumbersome). Jcubic (talk) 16:50, 29 November 2022 (UTC)
