Talk:Training modules/dashboard
@JSutherland (WMF) and Kbrown (WMF): I see Joe is building out more training module content. One thing I noticed was a formatting problem on a few of the slides. I'm sure there will be more of these; some will be fixable and some will be markup patterns that we'll just need to avoid. I looked into it, and can't find a clean way to fix the one related to indented bullets. I started an issue on the dashboard's GitHub repo to keep track of limitations and problems related to the conversion of markup to markdown: https://github.com/WikiEducationFoundation/WikiEduDashboard/issues/1155
Whenever you notice a problem, please either let me know or add a note on that issue.--Sage (Wiki Ed) (talk) 22:28, 27 January 2017 (UTC)
- Also noticed that not all the slides were showing up, because the Mediawiki API was only returning the first ten links to the /slides page by default. I just set it to fetch up to 500, and that should be live soon.--Sage (Wiki Ed) (talk) 23:42, 27 January 2017 (UTC)
Proposed changes
editTraining modules/dashboard/slides/10822-preparing-to-edit-quiz:
Copy and paste an entire article to your sandbox, make changes there, then copy and paste the article back to where you found it.
INCORRECT! This will delete the entire editing history of the article, and all of your changes will probably be reversed by another editor. Even if you plan to rewrite the entire article, it's best to make small changes to the article instead.
This sounds plain wrong. Copy-pasting text never destroyed page history. Can we rewrite it? --Ата (talk) 10:18, 22 April 2019 (UTC)
