Talk:The Wikipedia Library/Bookshelf
Is it possible to put translation template on this page?
editAs I have typed here, I believe that lesson learned for the whole Wikimedia movement should be as accessible as possible. It would be wonderful if anyone can help for this kind act from translation admin. Pining Siebrand, Varnent, Ochilov, and Jalexander-WMF. Thank you --Liang(WMTW) (talk) 00:01, 8 January 2016 (UTC)
Donation
editDon't use the term "donate". See commons:Commons_talk:Upload_Wizard/Archive_1#'donate' vs 'upload' - how to fix the uploadwizard text? as one discussion explaining why. Nemo 05:58, 8 April 2016 (UTC)
Re: Localizing
editThe link to Gdocs isn't at all explanatory on how to translate/adapt the thing. Nemo 06:04, 8 April 2016 (UTC)
USA specific
editYou need to check whether your proposals make any sense outside USA. For instance the concept of "visiting scholars" and "library interns" which you mention in two leaflets don't directly map to anything in Italy. Nemo 06:16, 8 April 2016 (UTC)
8 reasons
editThese "8 reasons" leaflets largely overlap, are too full of text and don't focus on any specific target/audience. Also, Open Access is mentioned in oppositional terms, while it should be the assumption from which you start to convince people: Open Access supporters include some 95 % of the total of librarians who are interested in working with us. In general, you have to ask yourself what the librarians are interested in, catch their attention with that and then show how your interests are related to theirs. Nemo 06:16, 8 April 2016 (UTC)
