Talk:The Wikipedia Library/Archive 3
The University of Chicago Press
editI am not able to access the full text of any article of the journals that I have tried, including Journal of Politics. Even though I can see "Access provided by Wikipedia Library" in the top right corner of my screen, I am asked to "Log in to access your subscription" in order to view the full text. Is this publisher restricting the list of journals available or is there a way to log in from this page? Thanks. Underwaterbuffalo (talk) 16:12, 2 January 2023 (UTC)
- @Underwaterbuffalo Looks like our access might have expired - we'll get in contact, thanks for raising this! Samwalton9 (WMF) (talk) 13:43, 4 January 2023 (UTC)
- @Underwaterbuffalo This is now renewed, so you should be able to access content again! Samwalton9 (WMF) (talk) 16:39, 11 January 2023 (UTC)
- Access confirmed. Thanks! Underwaterbuffalo (talk) 17:01, 11 January 2023 (UTC)
Underwaterbuffalo, have you tried searching it through Internet Archive Scholar? About 30 % of the content is publicly archived, and usually that means you're more likely than not to find what you need. Nemo 11:33, 24 January 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks for the heads up! I didn't know about this new service of Internet Archive. I didn't need it since access through The Wikipedia Library was restored, but I will check it in the future. Underwaterbuffalo (talk) 11:38, 24 January 2023 (UTC)
Findmypast
editI received an access code for Findmypast on January 8th, but the code isn’t working. Every time I enter it on the linked page [1], I get an error message. What can I do? Thanks --Jossi2 (talk) 22:23, 15 January 2023 (UTC)
- @Jossi2 Sorry to hear that - we'll contact Findmypast and see if we can get to the bottom of this. Samwalton9 (WMF) (talk) 09:30, 17 January 2023 (UTC)
@User:Jossi2, did you login first, before entering the code? I found that if you already have an account and login, then enter the code, it works. TrottieTrue (talk) 13:55, 24 January 2023 (UTC)
- Thank you very much, that did the trick. --Jossi2 (talk) 23:11, 28 January 2023 (UTC)
Ancestry issues
editThe new institution version of Ancestry accessible via TWL does not seem to work properly. After the first search results load, clicking through to the next page, or another filter, results in the page getting stuck loading. If you refresh, then it works, but otherwise, it doesn't load these pages properly. TrottieTrue (talk) 01:49, 23 January 2023 (UTC)
- That's odd @TrottieTrue. I've filed T327653, hopefully we can look into this soon. Samwalton9 (WMF) (talk) 13:51, 23 January 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks @Samwalton9 (WMF) - yes, your screenshot is what keeps repeatedly flashing when loading more search results or trying to use a search filter. Hopefully it will be resolved soon. TrottieTrue (talk) 23:26, 23 January 2023 (UTC)
International Directory of Company Histories
editGale's International Directory of Company Histories series would be very useful for sourcing articles about businesses. It is listed as part of the Gale subscription for TWL, but only a single volume (150) appears to be available. Is it possible to contact Gale to see if this is an oversight or if all volumes should be available? Jfire (talk) 03:52, 26 January 2023 (UTC)
- Jfire, have you checked the International Directory of Company Histories volumes at the Internet Archive? Nemo 15:43, 26 January 2023 (UTC)
- Oh wow, no I had not. Thanks for pointing that out! Jfire (talk) 15:55, 26 January 2023 (UTC)
Less access to De Gruyter
editA few days ago, I was using De Gruyter and accessing several things such as The Annual Messages of the Presidents of Liberia 1848–2010 and the chapter Kiribati and Nauru in another book, but today I see these are no longer available to me. Now the availability is listed as "Requires Authentication", and there's a banner on top of the site about requiring institutional access. Has Wikimedia's deals with De Gruyter changed? Is this a permanent change in the content accessible from De Gruyter or is this a temporary glitch? RoundSquare (talk) 22:54, 2 February 2023 (UTC)
- Both of those seem to be working for me so maybe just a glitch? Nikkimaria (talk) 20:26, 4 February 2023 (UTC)
- It's working for me too now, so yeah, it was just a glitch. RoundSquare (talk) 01:19, 5 February 2023 (UTC)
- I'm having the same problem at the moment. --Icodense (talk) 10:50, 22 February 2023 (UTC)
- @Icodense99 It looks like our access might have expired. We'll update at T330289 when we know more. Samwalton9 (WMF) (talk) 14:17, 22 February 2023 (UTC)
Surrender access?
editHey all! I've been granted access to e-Yearbook and BNI but can't ever seem to actually access anything. I have no problem with many other elements of WPL. I suspect it's either bc I had previous accounts with those services (under the same email) or because I use my phone for everything and maybe it doesn't vibe with that? Anyway I don't want to take up seats I'm not using so I'm hoping the access can be disconnected? Please advise. Thanks in advance. Jengod (talk) 01:59, 14 February 2023 (UTC)
BNI = BNA my bad Jengod (talk) 02:05, 14 February 2023 (UTC)
- @Jengod For both of these collections you should have received an email with instructions on how to access the collections - can you check if you received these? Samwalton9 (WMF) (talk) 15:58, 20 February 2023 (UTC)
Bad Gateway?
editIs anyone else getting this message? I've tried numerous databases today and each has the same problem. Cambridge core "Bad gateway Error code 502", alexander street press "Bad Request", Ebsco "Bad Request", Gale "Bad Request", Hein Online "Bad Request", Jstor "400 Bad Request" etc. Can't figure out if it is a Mexico thing or a library thing. Cleared cache, cleared cookies, rebooted, same thing comes up repeatedly. SusunW (talk) 16:52, 18 February 2023 (UTC)
African collection missing.
edithello. I check-up the list of collection but i didn't found library or document of africans history. Please can you direct me. I will be happy to found more. Komavo (talk) 17:24, 22 February 2023 (UTC)
- @Komavo: I agree, there seems (at least so far) no dedicated collection for African History in the Wikipedia Library. But I found quite a lot scattered among the books and journals of more general publishers with a quick look around. Not in the Wikipedia Library but freely accessible is the General History of Africa from the UNESCO. A little bit older is The Cambridge History of Africa, a bit more recent The Cambridge History of South Africa, both accessible via the Wikipedia Library. There are also The Oxford Encyclopedia of African Historiography: Methods and Sources and the Oxford Research Encyclopedia of African History. Several publishers have dedicated categories or pages for African History like this French one. There are bibliographies to help you find further resources e. g. Historiography and Methods of African History by Funso Afolayan or History and the Study of Africa by Jonathan Reynolds. Hartmut Bergenthums guide Afrika is in German and contains some broken links now. There are scholarly journals for African History such as The Journal of African History. HHill (talk) 21:41, 23 February 2023 (UTC)
- hello HHill, thank you a lot for direction. I will check-up. Komavo (talk) 07:18, 24 February 2023 (UTC)
- @Komavo We would love to add more African content into the library! We've been hoping to add African Journals Online for some time, but unfortunately they haven't had the capacity to work with us. Do you have any suggestions for content that's currently missing? Samwalton9 (WMF) (talk) 09:59, 24 February 2023 (UTC)
- thank you for your support. For the moment i don't have any suggestion but when i am ready i will text you. I read the collection of african history so it is good that the history of africa is mooving to gether with the World history cause sometime we think that historians of other continent are hiding our history and développement. Now we will try the few we can with our community wikipedia. Thank a lot. Komavo (talk) 18:52, 25 February 2023 (UTC)
New Yorker?
editDo we have any collections that offer a New Yorker magazine archive? I've run into a couple of articles I'd love to check but membership required etc. Jengod (talk) 05:47, 7 March 2023 (UTC)
- EBSCO, Gale, and ProQuest all have portions of that archive. Nikkimaria (talk) 01:28, 8 March 2023 (UTC)
Encyclopedia of the Medieval Chronicle
edithttps://brill-com.wikipedialibrary.idm.oclc.org/display/db/emco?rskey=gEsJVq&result=2 It would be great if this very important resource could be included in the Brill portfolio. Number of German libraries with a license < 5. --Historiograf (talk) 23:19, 14 March 2023 (UTC)
Newspapers.com clippings
editI realized today that when I clip a Newspapers.com article under the new proxy access arrangement, it gives me a URL like https://www-newspapers-com.wikipedialibrary.idm.oclc.org/clip/121223543/obituary-for-bernard-m-patten/. If I cite that in an article, though, it's not accessible to readers who aren't eligible for TWL, and while I can manually modify the URL to something like https://www.newspapers.com/clip/121223543/obituary-for-bernard-m-patten/, that's not going to be intuitive for most editors. I went through today and fixed a bunch with en:WP:JWB, but it'd be nice if there was an easier solution. Just wanted to flag this issue for you all—thanks for all your work! Extraordinary Writ (talk) 03:13, 20 March 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks @Extraordinary Writ! This is the unfortunate downside to proxy-based access. An editor made some suggestions on options to mitigate this here. I also believe that on English Wikipedia Citation bot will fix these retroactively. Samwalton9 (WMF) (talk) 10:43, 20 March 2023 (UTC)
- I added a clipping yesterday, and it's quite annoying that the new version of Newspapers.com doesn't automatically fill the Citation fields after inserting the link when using Visual Editor. It means I have to enter the data manually. And I didn't actually realise the clipping wouldn't be accessible to other users. Can this be fixed please? TrottieTrue (talk) 14:53, 3 May 2023 (UTC)
Invitation for DCW Conversation Hour
editHello TWL team, I am Aafi, founder of the Deoband Community Wikimedia. We have recently standardized our conversation hour: the DCW Conversation Hour. We would like to have someone from your team as a guest speaker in any of our upcoming sessions, likely in July or August 2023. If you are interested enough, please send an email at dcw wikimedia.org and we will continue this conversation further. Best, ─ The Aafī (talk) 12:42, 22 March 2023 (UTC)

Newspapers.com - level of access change
editHi there, not sure if this is the right forum to raise this but I'll start here :-) I have newspapers.com access through TWL, and up until a couple of days ago I could view complete pages. That level of access seems to have been removed and now I can only search but not actually view the pages that the search finds, which isn't hugely helpful. Is this a change to the level of access given to TWL users or am I doing something wrong? -- ChrisTheDude (talk) 09:12, 24 March 2023 (UTC)
- @ChrisTheDude Newspapers.com has moved to an automated level of access. To use Newspapers.com you can now log in to the library and click Access Collection under the Newspapers.com heading. Samwalton9 (WMF) (talk) 09:56, 24 March 2023 (UTC)
- @Samwalton9 (WMF) thanks for the response. That is what I did, but apparently my status is now "registered guest", meaning that I can't view actual pages. Is this because the higher level of access which I previously had has expired? -- ChrisTheDude (talk) 10:04, 24 March 2023 (UTC)
- @ChrisTheDude If you're access the site at https://www-newspapers-com.wikipedialibrary.idm.oclc.org/ then the status of your individual login shouldn't matter - you should find that the site still operates as it did before in terms of being able to search and clip. I've just tested it and it works for me. What message are you seeing when trying to access pages? Samwalton9 (WMF) (talk) 10:08, 24 March 2023 (UTC)
- @Samwalton9 (WMF) - hmmm, seems to work now. Bizarre. Sorry to have troubled you! -- ChrisTheDude (talk) 10:11, 24 March 2023 (UTC)
- @ChrisTheDude No worries! There are some teething problems with this change :) Samwalton9 (WMF) (talk) 10:12, 24 March 2023 (UTC)

Question about applying for new collections
editHello,
I left a message on the actual Library site (not sure which is faster for a response), but I'll ask my question here: are users allowed to apply/access collections simply because they want them? For example, if I apply for a collection like Find My Past (which I don't have available to me right now), can I simply say I would like to have it and maybe use it to edit articles? I'm relatively new to the library so any clarification on the application process would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance. Losipov (talk) 03:43, 2 April 2023 (UTC)
- @Losipov Sorry for the delay in responding to you. Yes, absolutely - feel free to apply to any collections that would be useful to you on Wikipedia. Samwalton9 (WMF) (talk) 13:50, 5 June 2023 (UTC)
No Content We Have Full Access To In World Scientific
editHello,
I'm really helped by many mathematics books available at World Scientific provided by this Wikipedia Library. But unfortunately, today, after looking at some books I ever use and browsing more books by search with "Only Content I Have Full Access To" filter applied, I can't find any book we can access in World Scientific. Is the problem come from the website, or from Wikipedia Library, or it is only me that get the problem? Is this page the right place to ask? Thank you. Hadithfajri (talk) 08:40, 2 April 2023 (UTC)
- Hadithfajri, for what it's worth, I just checked two random titles (Murota, Linear Algebra I; Amore, Advanced Modern Physics) and could access them, so this either seems to have been sorted out in the meantime or the problem appears to be on your end. Best, — Pajz (talk) 10:00, 11 May 2023 (UTC)
Associated Press articles
editIs there anywhere that I can get access to Associated Press archived articles? Many newspapers take articles directly from AP, and I wanted to see if I could find those AP articles directly Presidentofyes12 (talk) 12:27, 7 May 2023 (UTC)
- Presidentofyes12, I know that AP content is availabe through Nexis, which The Wikipedia Library does not currently give access to (but your local library may). Not sure if any of the The Wikipedia Library databases has AP content, but I suggest you try EBSCO, Gale, and ProQuest. — Pajz (talk) 09:47, 11 May 2023 (UTC)

Newspapers.com subscriber account question
editOH boy...I'll try to explain. I find Newspapers.com to be incredibly useful. Many *many* moons ago, it wasn't accessible through WP, so I got a subscriber account that I now realize I don't need. Does anyone around here know if I can drop my paid-subscription but still access my subscriber account through the WP Library? Thanks, Shearonink (talk) 18:58, 29 May 2023 (UTC)
- @Shearonink I believe you can! Newspapers.com is accessed via proxy now (click Access Collection in the library), but once in you should be able to log in to your previous account. Samwalton9 (WMF) (talk) 13:51, 5 June 2023 (UTC)

How does 'Suggest a collection' work?
editSorry if this has been answered elsewhere. I was looking at the Suggest a collection page, and there's no indication of when each suggestion was made, if the collection holder had been contacted, or if it had been declined. Would it be possible to add additional information so we can see how long those suggestions have been there for? Or just some information on what the process is? Thanks Jimmyjrg (talk) 04:10, 15 June 2023 (UTC)
- @Jimmyjrg Thanks for the suggestion - I agree this is an opaque process. We've tried at various times to develop a system for providing clearer updates on how and when partner suggestions are progressing. Unfortunately this hasn't been feasible to keep up with due to how the partnership process goes. We are constantly attempting to make contact with dozens of different requested organisations. Many times our emails go entirely unanswered, sometimes we get through to someone but they don't know who to pass our request on to, sometimes we get into lengthy discussions which lead nowhere, and occasionally we actually get through to signing an agreement. Because of all the repeated communication and dead-ends it hasn't been particularly satisfying for anyone involved to keep trying to provide community updates on each request. We're only a small team, with one person leading the partnerships, and it would take a substantial amount of our time to provide updates on each of these requests. How long a request has been sitting on the suggested page isn't particularly instructive because it doesn't mean that we can't or won't get access to that collection, we usually just haven't been able to make the right connection with someone at that organisation to get a partnership underway yet.
- All that said, what I can say is that all of these suggestions are combined alongside internal priority rankings, and we're constantly sending off emails, attending events, and having conversations, to try to add new collections to the library. So please do add new suggestions and upvote the ones you're interested in, because this helps us rank our priorities! Samwalton9 (WMF) (talk) 09:49, 15 June 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks for the prompt reply! That makes sense, and it's more for curiosity than necessity so it's not the most important thing to tackle. I guess the other thing that could be good would be to show rejected suggestions? But again, it's not a major issue. Thanks again. Jimmyjrg (talk) 10:46, 15 June 2023 (UTC)

FindMyPast voucher not working?
editI just got approved for FindMyPast via the Wikipedia library. I signed up for an account and then went to the voucher URL as described in the email I got and entered the code frommy email. The message I got was "The voucher code entered doesn't seem to be working. Double check it has been entered correctly, it hasn't expired and you haven't used it before. If you are using a code to claim a discount rather than redeem a subscription, this can be activated here." I did double check the code. British Newspaper Archive
editHi, I applied for, and was granted, Wikipedia Library access to the British Newspaper Archive. However, between my last personal subscription expiring and receiving the details for Wikipedia Library access, I decided to resubscribe for another year. I haven't used the Wikipedia Library access code, so it can hopefully be reallocated to another editor. Many thanks, BennyOnTheLoose (talk) 21:42, 28 June 2023 (UTC)
Can't access article at Taylor & Francis.
editI've logged in to my TWL account and found the article I want (https://www-tandfonline-com.wikipedialibrary.idm.oclc.org/doi/full/10.1080/08998280.2022.2078636?scroll=top&needAccess=true&role=tab) but when I click the green "Read this article" button, it just gives me purchase options and asks me to login. What am I doing wrong? — The preceding unsigned comment was added by RoySmith (talk) 13:57, 11 July 2023 (UTC)
- @RoySmith: TWL's subscription to Taylor & Francis doesn't cover all the articles in their database. —Bruce1eetalk 07:31, 12 July 2023 (UTC)
Access problems Science Direct
editHi, possibly there are problems to access Science Direct (Elsevier) articles. I tried to download Cell and The Lancet papers, but I had no access to articles not published as open-access papers. These problems appear to exist for other Elsevier journals as well. Best regards, Espresso robusta (talk) 20:22, 13 July 2023 (UTC)
- @Espresso robusta This issue has now been resolved. Samwalton9 (WMF) (talk) 10:17, 24 August 2023 (UTC)
Springer Link article
editI am not able to access an article at Springer. I have accessed it a week ago using my TWL account but now it's not working. Mixmon (talk) 13:11, 16 July 2023 (UTC)

The free Google historical newspaper search has returned
edithttps://news.google.com/newspapers - This page never went away, but the search function there was severely limited for several years. It appears to be fixed now. The archived newspapers and magazines seem to range from the 19th century to around 2009, and coverage of some is very partial, but it is better than nothing. ScienceDirect
editI can not access any paywalled content/journals in ScienceDirect. This can be verified by entering a search term and clicking "Refine by: Subscribed journals" (only open access journals left). Should ScienceDirect be tagged as temporarily unavailable? JimRenge (talk) 06:49, 7 August 2023 (UTC)
- @JimRenge This is now done - relevant Phab ticket is at T343883. Samwalton9 (WMF) (talk) 01:57, 18 August 2023 (UTC)
- @JimRenge Elsevier access has been restored! Samwalton9 (WMF) (talk) 10:17, 24 August 2023 (UTC)

HeinOnline
editI am unable to access HeinOnline (via the main link). Could someone please check it and let me know whether it's an issue on my end or if HeinOnline is not functioning correctly? Cassjus (talk) 10:16, 4 September 2023 (UTC)
- Hi Cassjus, seems to be working fine for me - are you seeing an error? Nikkimaria (talk) 15:50, 4 September 2023 (UTC)
- Hi @Nikkimaria, I see ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS or ERROR_TIMEOUT :( Cassjus (talk) 17:00, 4 September 2023 (UTC)
- Cassjus, try clearing cache/cookies and see if that solves it? Nikkimaria (talk) 12:02, 7 September 2023 (UTC)
JSTOR failures
editI know there is a JSTOR article at https://www.jstor.org/stable/29742494. When I'm logged into JSTOR via TWL, this article does not show up in search results. When I manually change the URL to https://www-jstor-org.wikipedialibrary.idm.oclc.org/stable/29742494 I get (after a captcha) the preview of the article, but the notice "Your institution does not have access to this journal article on JSTOR." — SMcCandlish ☺ ☏ ¢ >ʌⱷ҅ᴥⱷʌ< 04:48, 21 September 2023 (UTC)
- Same with this one https://www-jstor-org.wikipedialibrary.idm.oclc.org/stable/26915030 except I did find it through searching via TWL (path: general TWL search, producing a results list: https://eds.s.ebscohost.com/eds/results?vid=0&sid=e344959a-c373-4063-93fc-efcb186bdcbb%40redis&bquery=Seanchas%2BArdmhacha&bdata=JmNsaTA9RlQmY2x2MD1ZJnR5cGU9MCZzZWFyY2hNb2RlPUFuZCZzaXRlPWVkcy1saXZlJnNjb3BlPXNpdGU%3d then clicking on the result for this item, going to https://eds.s.ebscohost.com/eds/detail/detail?vid=0&sid=0fe9d9b4-080a-480c-bb6a-54cb9e6697c9%40redis&bdata=JnNpdGU9ZWRzLWxpdmUmc2NvcGU9c2l0ZQ%3d%3d#AN=144274505&db=a9h and from there clicking on "JSTOR full text"). — SMcCandlish ☺ ☏ ¢ >ʌⱷ҅ᴥⱷʌ< 04:55, 21 September 2023 (UTC)

- @SMcCandlish Thanks for flagging this, it looks like there's an archival collection that we don't have access to, and we haven't matched this up properly in EBSCO Discovery Service (the search software we use). We've updated the JSTOR description and are going to ask them if we might be able to include this content. Samwalton9 (WMF) (talk) 13:57, 27 September 2023 (UTC)
- Thankee. That'll be grand if it works out, since it's a lot of important material, and there's no easy way on the user end to distinguish that blocked content from JSTOR material we do have access to. Each attempt at access is just a total crap-shoot. — SMcCandlish ☺ ☏ ¢ >ʌⱷ҅ᴥⱷʌ< 14:23, 27 September 2023 (UTC)
- "Archival" sounds about right to me. I am mostly getting this problem with older material, like this one, not with brand-new journal articles. Rather frustrating, because this older material is of much lower intellectual property value to begin with, and hardly needs this sort of pay-walling. I don't know who JSTOR thinks is going to pay cash for a book review from 1944. — SMcCandlish ☺ ☏ ¢ >ʌⱷ҅ᴥⱷʌ< 04:32, 16 October 2023 (UTC)

Newspaper.com&archive
editHey there. I had access to Newspaper.com and Newspaperarchive, however now that I have changed my device, I have completely forgot my email and/or password (I'm not even sure which part did I forget). Is there any way in which I can reaccess my account, or create a new one? Gerald Waldo Luis (talk) 10:36, 13 October 2023 (UTC)
- @Gerald Waldo Luis Unfortunately that's out of our hands - without proof that the old account belonged to you (presumably impossible now that you can't log in to it) we have no way to verify the link between the accounts, so you'll need to follow any on-wiki advice available to you to recover your account, if possible. Miramar Ship Index
editI got an email saying that my application for the Miramar Ship Index has been approved (thank you for that) and I followed the instructions given (create a 7 day trial account and enter "The Wikipedia Library" into the field "organization"). But now, when I try to log in, I only get the message that my account has expired and I should purchase a paid subscription. What can I do? Jossi2 (talk) 16:33, 16 October 2023 (UTC)

JSTOR login
editHey. I've only recently got access to the Library and tried JSTOR as my first database. When I go to the JSTOR site through the link, there's a top banner saying "Access provided by Wikipedia", but that doesn't seem to give any additional functionality. When I try to sign in via institution with Wikipedia, I get "Although Wikipedia participates in JSTOR, we were unable to provide you with a way to log in remotely. Check your library's website for access info or contact your librarian who manages JSTOR for your institution." There's another thread here about the Youtube video on how to use JSTOR for WP being private, but that doesn't help much besides learning that it's been a problem since at least that time. Spagooder (talk) 14:56, 19 October 2023 (UTC)
- @Spagooder You noted that " When I go to the JSTOR site through the link, there's a top banner saying "Access provided by Wikipedia", but that doesn't seem to give any additional functionality" - if you try searching are you not able to access content? This is the intended method of access and should be working. Samwalton9 (WMF) (talk) 16:12, 19 October 2023 (UTC)

"Wikipedia Library applications await your review" emails are belated
editI review applications for some library resources. Usually I get an email every week or so. Today I got an email that said I had twelve applications and some of them were dating back to the 6th of October. I'm not sure how often it's supposed to drop me an email but this seems like maybe not often enough? I did check spam/trash, I hadn't gotten another email from Wikipedia since September. JSTOR access
editIt's 6 months that JSTOR access on wikipedia library is unavailable (400 Bad Request, Request Header Or Cookie Too Large)... Are there any news? Friniate (talk) 13:53, 8 November 2023 (UTC)
- The problem happens once I've accessed the Library and then I try to search for a title, at that point the page crashes and gives 400 error. Friniate (talk) 13:59, 8 November 2023 (UTC)
- Have you tried clearing your cache/cookies? See here. Nikkimaria (talk) 04:05, 9 November 2023 (UTC)
- I did multiple times and it didn't seem to work, although now I've tried with the incognito mode and it works! I don't understand why but thank you! XD By the way, EZproxy is also signalled as unsafe internet site by my antivirus, the access was blocked and I had to specifically say that I wanted to continue. It wasn't so until like 1-2 months ago, is it possible to do something about that? Friniate (talk) 12:11, 9 November 2023 (UTC)

American Journal of Urology
editIs this journal accessible via any of the current scientific/medical databases available in the Wikipedia Library? Muzilon (talk) 08:14, 27 November 2023 (UTC)
- @Muzilon Unfortunately we don't think we have this one. Samwalton9 (WMF) (talk) 14:06, 27 November 2023 (UTC)
- @Samwalton9 (WMF): After some digging, I've found that older issues of w:The Journal of Urology are available via ScienceDirect, but in 2019 the journal was transferred to w:Wolters Kluwer - which the Wikipedia Library does not have access to, as far as I can see. :( Muzilon (talk) 19:30, 27 November 2023 (UTC)

University of Chicago Press
editIn last year's archive I see a note: "This is now renewed, so you should be able to access content again! Samwalton9 (WMF) (talk) 16:39, 11 January 2023", and I do find "The University of Chicago Press Journals" listed at https://wikipedialibrary.wmflabs.org/users/my_library/, but this does not provide access to any of their books. At very least it would be of value to be able to access Scientific Style and Format and The Chicago Manual of Style, even if they wouldn't let us at the rest of their book publishing. — SMcCandlish ☺ ☏ ¢ >ʌⱷ҅ᴥⱷʌ< 23:57, 28 January 2024 (UTC)
