Withdrawal

edit

It looks like Pcastellina intends to withdraw: [1] Could an ElectCom member handle this? --Rschen7754 00:58, 4 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

Done. Since he withdrew before the start of the election, I didn't list him in the section on the page, consistent with past practice (iirc). --MF-W 11:09, 4 February 2019 (UTC)Reply
The steward elections have already started last week, and the candidate participated in its question period. "Past practice" shows that even candidates who were disqualified during or before the question phase were listed. --Vogone (talk) 12:36, 4 February 2019 (UTC)Reply
I think Vogone is correct about the past precedent; this candidacy was placed in the "withdrawn" section in 2014. I suppose a good distinction would be to include the candidate if they withdrew after the question time began, but not if they withdrew during the candidacy announcement stage. – Ajraddatz (talk) 19:25, 4 February 2019 (UTC)Reply
I wouldn't feel so bound by such few precedents, though it's not a big deal. --Vituzzu (talk) 20:35, 4 February 2019 (UTC)Reply
Yes, I'm not too concerned either way. – Ajraddatz (talk) 21:36, 4 February 2019 (UTC)Reply
For future documentation of the events I've added Pcastellina's withdrawn candidacy to the appropriate section. I don't think we should vanish the fact that there was a candidacy that is no longer votable. —MarcoAurelio (talk) 21:59, 4 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

How to vote ?

edit

Hi, There is no any button or any method to vote in Stewards Election 2019, How to vote? Is there any voting page or any tool where vote can be casted? JogiAsad (talk) 19:09, 9 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

JogiAsad, If you go to each individual's vote page (from Stewards/Elections 2019, find the candidate, you have the option for yes/no/neutral, click on those links and you will get there), around the top of the page after the statement you should see the vote button. -★- PlyrStar93 Message me. 19:13, 9 February 2019 (UTC)Reply
Yes, and just to clarify, you need to click one of the yes/no/neutral links to get to the vote page right from the main election page. Clicking on a candidate name will just take you to the statement page. It's a bit of a messy setup, but it has to be that way for the translations to work. – Ajraddatz (talk) 19:15, 9 February 2019 (UTC)Reply
OK thanks I found it. JogiAsad (talk) 19:23, 9 February 2019 (UTC)Reply
Hi there i would like to add some suggestion to this if it possible maybe we should have some description for How to vote? and maybe some introduction of each candidate such as when they first joined and where they are from. What they are going to do if they elected. and how they going to support community? just a short version to introduce who they are. I am one of translator as well and would be nice if others would get to know them before take a vote it would be nice. That is my suggestion which may supporting this Elections.. Thank you...Tris T7 (talk) 20:46, 21 February 2019 (UTC)Reply
The candidate descriptions already exist, see Category:Steward elections 2019 statements. However, they are not always translated into sufficiently many languages. --Vogone (talk) 20:51, 21 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

Questions

edit

Can questions to candidates still be asked during voting? Or is this discouraged? Ankry (talk) 10:28, 10 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

Would it be possible if you could provide link where we can add some question and earlier question with answer of candidate? Thank you.. Regards,--Tris T7 (talk) 20:49, 21 February 2019 (UTC)Reply
