So, I think that all the technical aspects of this proposal are things we should do for many reasons. However, I'm concerned that the long term purpose given is a mistake. Akamai went down the road of distributed boxes but has largely backed out because they found a more effective method (locating in NAPs and peering). We would do well to learn from their experience. There are a lot of complications, but this is something clearly worth discussing. --Gmaxwell 00:38, 19 February 2007 (UTC)Reply
