Thank you for reading the report. We are happy to share information about fundraising at the Wikimedia Foundation and look forward to your feedback. We will respond to comments and questions to the best of our ability. In some cases, we may not be able to provide all data requested for a number of possible reasons, including the privacy and protection of our users and donors, security considerations, data limitations, and the team's capacity. — The preceding unsigned comment was added by EHughes (WMF) (talk)

In the "Banners: A Chance to Learn and Give" section, there is the mention of "key metrics of banner donation rate, average gift and, recently, recurring acquisition". It would be great to have access to those three metrics for the banner fundraising medium. 2A01:E0A:1EE:5DE0:DC70:6D0F:6369:9D3D 19:34, 7 December 2024 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for your question. I am giving you an example from one of our campaigns below, as rates are different in different countries and fluctuate over the course of a campaign.
Example campaign Financial Year 2023/2024 metrics:
  • Banner donation rate: 0.14%
  • Average gift: $12.50 USD
  • Recurring acquisition: 0.01%
As said, these are for one campaign only but hopefully give you an insight in how our metrics work.

If you think this example is pretty representative of global banner campaign performance, that's very useful, thanks you very much! 2A01:E0A:1EE:5DE0:2129:D9C0:E3F5:CFEE 17:55, 17 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
