Just curious edit

I really enjoyed giving my small donation during the Big English end-of-year drive because I enjoyed seeing it compared year-to-year how long it took to reach goal, on top of that, the willingness of individuals to donate could be assessed and even seen as an indicator of overall satisfaction with wikimedia services: things like the robust citations that were implemented to confront the "wikipedia is not a source" narrative. Is there any way to create some comparable metric to last year's performance? I don't want to say I was waiting all year for this but... I was waiting all year for this. You guys are amazing!

Evolution and distribution of donations edit

Hi ! First of all, let me wish all the best for this year 2019 to you SPatton and all your staff. As it was done above, I'm righting this post hopping to have more information about the evolution of donation over time, but also information about distribution of donations by country or by the user's mother tongue for example. Is that information accessible some where on the web ? Cheers, Lionel Scheepmans Contact French native speaker, sorry for my dysorthography 16:19, 3 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

One correction on the content of the report edit

In preparation for the publication of the FY22-23 fundraising report, we conducted a review of past report content. During that review, we discovered an error in the Endowment section in this edition of the report. The error was due to double counting a single gift. That error has now been corrected. Previously, the report read: "we added $8.5 million USD to the Endowment." Now, the report reads: "we added $7.5 million USD to the Endowment." The total size of the Endowment as listed in the report is correct. CVirtue (WMF) (talk) 19:40, 23 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
