Don't create customizations that cannot be shared

I'll write more or less the same thing here as I wrote on the original proposal page: Don't develop a whole new template classification or search feature. It will be similar in several wikis, and it will add to the already-existing fragmentation of templates across wikis. Templates should become global first.

A better metric

Would be measuring the ease & satisfaction of users for having this tool (or simply a hand list); not all articles need template(s). However, this is admittedly a subjective criterion & not easily quantified. Perhaps it could be implemented thru a random questionnaire? -- Llywrch (talk) 17:35, 19 May 2024 (UTC)
