Hey 魔琴 - thanks for sharing this wish. It's always fun to learn about the nuances of wiki editing, such as WP:Roundrobin. This seems like a pretty cumbersome task, and I could see how solving the problem with 1 action would help. I'm curious for you, and other people with the `suppressredirect` rights come across this use case. Is this daily, weekly, monthly, something else? JWheeler-WMF (talk) 17:50, 2 January 2025 (UTC)

Of the approximately 3000 moves performed over the last two days (1-2 January) there were about 15 page swaps resulting in about 60 page moves total. This is not an in-depth analysis, of course, and would need a larger sampling not on New Year to be more accurate, but all of those moves were script-assisted, meaning that it only took one "action" by those users to actually perform these moves. I personally do not see that as cumbersome. Is it annoying to have to deal with all of the redlinked "Draft/" titles in the move of the secondary page? Not really, I mean it's not like anyone looking is going to care (or probably even notice); I certainly don't.

I guess my point is that anyone doing round-robin swaps should already have a tool to do it, and I would not describe it as cumbersome. If someone doesn't have suppressredirect on their account and are doing it "manually", then sure, it's a pain, but I don't suspect those are the people you're catering towards. Yes but I'm sorry that not until I started this wish description did I found that there is a page swap script on enwiki. I'm pretty sure my local community (zhwiki) didn't mention anything about this script.
