Squid update?

I've read the various pages describing squids and understand that they cache pages. I see that the pages will expire after a parameter-set duration. How do squids in general and the wikipedia squids in particular handle pages that have been updated since they were cached but before the expired duration? -- SGBailey 09:41, August 31, 2005 (UTC)

Squid has a cache-flushing protocol and that's used to tell the Squids to flush the page from their cache. Jamesday 03:29, 9 October 2005 (UTC)
