Preamble

Wikimedia France is a local Wikimedia chapter dedicated to supporting and promoting Wikimedia projects in France. Amical Viquipèdia is a Wikimedia partner organization dedicated to supporting and promoting Wikimedia projects in the Catalan-speaking areas. This agreement establishes cooperation and mutual support between the two organizations to achieve their common goals. This agreement is written bilingually in French and Catalan. Both versions are equally valid for the Parties.

1. Mutual recognition.

Amical Viquipèdia and Wikimedia France mutually recognize one another's activities for the Wikimedia projects. On the basis of this recognition, they will add links to each other on their respective websites.

2. Activities.

Amical Viquipèdia will notify Wikimedia France of activities in French territories. Wikimedia France will also notify Amical Viquipèdia of activities in areas of Catalan culture. This notice will involve an invitation to participate. In cases where both Parties consider it appropriate, they will consider the possibility of a joint effort. Activities related to Catalan language and culture will be organized with priority by Amical Viquipèdia. Activities relating to the central authorities in France will be organized with priority by Wikimedia France.

3. Fundraising campaigns.

In all fundraising campaigns conducted by Amical Viquipèdia in French territories, it will be made clear that one may also contribute to Wikimedia France. 4. Wikimedia logos and trademarks.

Both organizations use the Wikimedia logos and trademarks in accordance with agreements each of them has with the Wikimedia Foundation. Under no circumstances will they make it appear that one depends on the other. They will always be clear that these are two completely separate organizations.

5. Conduct.

Both organizations will provide mutual support, and neither will do anything to harm the image of the other. Neither organization will act nor speak in the name of the other, unless this has been previously approved for a specific project. Neither organization will suggest that there is any kind of organic or functional dependence on the other. Nor will they suggest that there is any kind of hierarchy or priority between them and the Wikimedia Foundation.

6. Duration.

The duration of this agreement shall be one year, renewable automatically each year unless either Party tells the other of its intention to revoke the agreement three months in advance.

7. Applicable law, jurisdiction and mediation.

This agreement is subject to the laws of France. In the event of a disagreement, the Parties shall submit to voluntary mediation before going to court. The Parties agree that in the case of litigation, they will submit to the courts of the city of Perpignan.
