Social media/Article of the Week
Every Friday, the Communications department shares the “Article of the Week” on Wikipedia’s social media channels.
The Article of the Week is selected based on relevancy and its timeliness to current global events and conversations. Its objective is to connect Wikipedia content to current events, thereby engaging readers and diverse groups, and bringing in new social media followers. It does not replace or replicate “Today's featured article.”
The Communications department shares the selected Article of the Week in advance on this page for awareness. We do our best to share the article at least 12 hours in advance.
If you would like to make a suggestion for an upcoming Article of the Week, please send an email to talktocomms@wikimedia.org or write directly in the talk page. Please submit articles from any language. We cannot promise that we will post everything that is submitted, but we will do our best to respond to each submission.
