SVG Translation Campaign - CIS/Delhi

A Wiki meetup cum offline SVG Translation training is going to be held on the 24th March 2019, at New Delhi, India.

Background edit

During first ever Women Train The Trainer by CIS we had a session on New Project Design by Maria Cruz, we had planned this event during the practice session, keeping in mind two basic points.

  1. Ongoing SVG Translation Campaign
  2. Involvement of the multilingual Delhi Wikimedians.

Objectives edit

  1. To have a multilingual meetup.
  2. To encourage experienced Wikipedian to involve more new Wikipedians.
  3. Knowledge exchange between Wikipedians

Date and Venue edit

  • Date: 24th March 2019
  • Time: 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm
  • Venue:
  • Centre for Internet and Society,
    First floor, B 1/8, Hauz Khas, near G Block market, take the gate opposite Southy, New Delhi, 110016.

Program schedule edit

  • 2 pm – 5 pm:
  1. Introduction of SVG Translation Project.
  2. Introduction of new Wikipedians.
  3. Learning how to edit Scalable Vector Graphics (SVGs) in multi-languages using Inkscape.
  4. Registration of new Wikipedians.(If any))
  5. Learning how to upload SVGs on WikiCommons
  6. Uploading translated SVGs on WikiCommons.
