Roses are cultivated since about 2,500 years, about 250 species exist in the northern hemisphere, are cultivated and used for breeding.
Millions of people worldwide love roses and quite a number of them would like to share their knowledge and show their roses in a Wiki.
A number of roses is presented in Wikipedia, but

  1. A common scheme or concept is missing
  2. A compact system with informations about rose classes, breeders, botanists, rose gardens, rosarias and rose care is missing
  3. The only private Wiki on an other platform is too often down to work with.
  4. A private platform for roses exists (HelpMeFind) but it doesn't have at all the advantages of a Wiki.
  5. This Wiki would start in three languages: German, French and English, but would not be limited to this languages.
This is a proposal for a new Wikimedia sister project.
