Fabulous job, as always. Thanks for bringing us this! Very interesting to see all the recent work -- and I need to talk more to those librarians :) -- phoebe | talk 05:59, 2 May 2012 (UTC)
shared watchlists
editI don't understand what the issue was with "shared watchlists"? Couldn't they simply have several rss feeds...one for each watchlist?Smallman12q (talk) 21:57, 4 May 2012 (UTC)
- A fuller quote from the corresponding section of the paper:
- The use of one account would make it easier to share account access as interns roll on and off staff each semester. It seems as though the next editor will have to create a new account if UHDS is to stay in compliance with the username policy. On the discussion page for usernames in Wikipedia, it is suggested that the new editor recreate a Watchlist to follow contributions by UHDS editors instead of sharing usernames. This would be tedious as there are hundreds of items included in the current Watchlist associated with the UHDS Wikipedia program and that list is growing. At this time, UHDS staff are still working to address this issue.
- My understanding is that they want to use the usual watchlist to follow articles of interest, but haven't found an easy way to transfer it to the new acccount of a new intern. Regards, Tbayer (WMF) (talk) 00:57, 5 May 2012 (UTC)
