Content gaps
editHi @Marcmiquel: good to see the KGI getting attention!
The dimensions listed for content gaps seem arbitrary and not yet complete. > "For example, for Content, these are: geography, gender, sexual orientation, time and local content."
- Primary content gaps should start with topical completion (including breadth, depth, and levels of abstraction). Geographic breadth is only dimension that may apply, its relevance will vary with the topic. In general, these pages and the recent papers seem to forget about our initial primary goal, to covering every topic of knowledge -- which then of course includes coverage by all of these dimensions. Earlier countering-systemic-bias work put topical coverage front and center, let's restore that. :)
- A top-level dimension for gender gaps makes sense as a known large gap that pervades most topics. But once you get to sexual orientation you should also include a range of religion, class, profession and other cross-cutting demographics. –SJ talk 21:01, 25 May 2022 (UTC)
