Preliminary results edit
Monthly active editors. The number of monthly active editors (>= 5 edits) is plotted for Portuguese Wikipedia.
Monthly active newcomers. The monthly number of active newcomers is plotted for Portuguese Wikipedia.
Newcomer survival. The monthly proportion of surviving active newcomers is plotted for Portuguese Wikipedia with (normal approx) standard error bars.

- A registered user that saves at least 5 edits to any page (note that this definition differs from the WMF standardized definition of active editor)
- active newcomer
- A registered user that saves at least one main namespace edit within one month of registration
- surviving newcomer
- A registered user that saves at least one edit between two months and six months after registration
