- Support... but I'd like to know who's proposing it. --Chamdarae 23:27, 21 November 2005 (UTC)
- I think we should not accept requests that lack a contact anymore in the future. They only clog this page even more and usually lead to nothing. Arbeo 14:26, 29 November 2005 (UTC)
- I agree. At best they're creating lots of work for other people. I would like to see a Tetum wikipedia though... But I don't know of any Tetum-speaking wikipedians (beyond { {tet-1} }) who could help with this. --Chamdarae 10:52, 7 December 2005 (UTC)
- In this case, I'm willing to be the contact person. :-) --Chamdarae 11:11, 7 December 2005 (UTC)
- /ME places his head on the chopping block.
- I also want to cooperate and will find people to help us to create a Tetum wikipedia! --Manuel de Sousa 01:03, 8 January 2006 (UTC)

- Support I see a lot of parallels between Tetum and my native Tagalog - both are Austronesian languages with vocabulary heavily drawn upon Romance languages. --Chris 19:16, 5 December 2005 (UTC)

- Comment -- As the official language of a sovereign nation, this shouldn't even require a vote. It should be created automatically and ASAP, just like all other official languages. Blockinblox 02:40, 24 December 2005 (UTC)
- However, the fact that it's an official language will not automatically assure a productive Wikipedia. (Cf. the completely inactive editions in Sango, Hiri Motu, Venda, Kirundi, Kinyarwanda, Dhivehi ...). Therefore, I believe we'd better wait until a couple of native speakers register here.
