Discuss the creation of this language project on this page. Votes will be ignored when judging the proposal. Please provide arguments or reasons and be prepared to defend them (see the Language proposal policy).
The language committee needs to verify the language is eligible to be approved.
|
- The community needs to develop an active test project; it must remain active until approval (automated statistics, recent changes). It is generally considered active if the analysis lists at least three active, not-grayed-out editors listed in the sections for the previous few months.
- The community needs to complete required MediaWiki interface translations in that language (about localization, translatewiki, check completion).
- The community needs to discuss and complete the settings table below:

Notes: (1) This setting can be changed afterwards. The setting can only be "yes" or "admin" at approval if the test creates an Exemption Doctrine Policy (EDP) first. (2) Files on Commons can be used on all Wikis. (3) Uploading fair-use images is not allowed on Commons (more info). (4) Localisation to your language may be insufficient on Commons. |

Proposal
editHarauti or Hadauti (Hadoti) is a Rajasthani language spoken by approximately four million people in the Hadoti region of southeastern Rajasthan, India. Its speakers are concentrated in the districts of Kota, Baran, Bundi and Jhalawar in Rajasthan, as well as in neighbouring areas of Madhya Pradesh. Hadauti language is a Rajasthani language of India, with a rich cultural heritage and literature. I propose a dedicated Wikimedia page to provide comprehensive information on the language's dialects, grammar, vocabulary, literature, and cultural practices. The page will offer resources for learning the language, discuss its history and influence on other dialects, and serve as a platform for Hadauti speakers and enthusiasts to collaborate. The proposed page will promote and preserve the cultural significance of Hadauti language Hadauti speakers can contribute to the Hadauti language page on Wikimedia by adding valuable information about the language, its dialects, grammar, vocabulary, literature, and culture. They can also improve existing articles, translate them into other languages, and use Wikimedia as a tool to learn more about their language and culture while collaborating with others to preserve and promote the language.
Discussion
edit- Weak support valid code, large number of speakers, not a vanity project for some obscure dead/useless language. Needs more evidence of a robust community of native/fluent speakers though. Dronebogus (talk) 21:16, 5 March 2024 (UTC)
