Requests for new languages/Wikipedia Buhinon

submitted verification final decision
Discuss the creation of this language project on this page. Votes will be ignored when judging the proposal. Please provide arguments or reasons and be prepared to defend them (see the Language proposal policy).

The language committee needs to verify the language is eligible to be approved.

  • Check that the project does not already exist (see list).
  • Obtain an ISO 639 code
  • Ensure the requested language is sufficiently unique that it could not exist on a more general wiki.
  • Ensure that there are a sufficient number of native editors of that language to merit an edition in that language.
  • The community needs to develop an active test project; it must remain active until approval (automated statistics, recent changes). It is generally considered active if the analysis lists at least three active, not-grayed-out editors listed in the sections for the previous few months.
  • The community needs to complete required MediaWiki interface translations in that language (about localization, translatewiki, check completion).
  • The community needs to discuss and complete the settings table below:
What Value Example / Explanation
Proposal
Language code ubl (SILGlottolog) A valid ISO 639-1 or 639-3 language code, like "fr", "de", "nso", ...

(2) Files on Commons can be used on all Wikis. (3) Uploading fair-use images is not allowed on Commons (more info). (4) Localisation to your language may be insufficient on Commons.

(Alert)-Text me in my talk page if u speak this language and text me translations of the language like this in Bicol Language "One=Saro" (My Purpose Why i Addee this)-I want Buhinon In Wikipedia because i want to help people understand and learn about the language and so yeah thats why i created this

Discussion edit

@Boineun: No "East Miraya" article on existing Wikipedias, but by w:Bikol languages, it looks like a dialect of Albay Bikol which four different codes present, of which two are having test project: incubator:Wp/rbl for Miraya Bikol (and even a request exists for years), and incubator:Wp/ubl for Buhi'non Bikol. Is this language requesting the Buhi'non one? Or if you want to start either West Albay Bikol at incubator:Wp/fbl, or Libon Bikol at incubator:Wp/lbl?

Regareless, ema isn't a correct code because it points to Emai-Iuleha-Ora. --Liuxinyu970226 (talk) 02:52, 15 August 2023

@Liuxinyu970226: Can u Not Bully Me bc im new here and i didnt it was a dialect . -- Boineun (talk) 04:58, 16 August 2023

@Boineun: What means by you? You wanna break the rule? Your messages are having several grammar errors that led me too hard to understand what's your actual ideas. And I don't think that I did "Bully" to you, only an AGF suggestion for your proposals created. --Liuxinyu970226 (talk) 10:04, 16 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Liuxinyu970226: Just Delete This if u hate or wanna delete this its ok bc im just dumb. -- Boineun (talk) 14:13, 16 August 2023

@Boineun: I'm not planning to nominate this for deletion, rather I'm suggesting whether to rename this RFL page (among another) to reflect one of the rest 3 Albay variants, as currently only Miraya one using rbl has a separate RFL existing. --Liuxinyu970226 (talk) 03:06, 17 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Liuxinyu970226: Lets just Rename/Redo it So we can have peace. -- Boineun (talk) 04:54, 17 August, 2023

Ok, assume that you're requesting Buhinon one as you created a Wiktionary request for it. --Liuxinyu970226 (talk) 05:19, 17 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Yep Sure Is 👍🏼. -- Boineun (talk) 07:09, 17 August 2023

Now back to the new main topic, currently incubator:Wp/ubl does only have 3 articles (in case we can count main page itself as also an article). Per Ethnologue, a 2009 census said that there are 73600 Buhinon speakers, maintaining this project should ordinary not be a problem if there are Buhinon-speaking netizens, I believe, but how to populate? --Liuxinyu970226 (talk) 05:04, 22 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Liuxinyu970226: Maybe Find Some Buhinon Speakers in Wikipedia Or Let's find some information on the language -- 04:56, October 8, 2023 Boineun
