Das deutschsprachige Wikiquote wurde am 18. Juli 2004 gestartet und besteht zur Zeit aus rund 800 Seiten. Ich bin temp-bürokrat und es gibt wenige temp-Admins, die sich bereits (mit mir) zur Wahl gestellt haben, jedoch keine ausreichende Stimmenanzahl bekommen haben. Es gab eine lange Diskussion über die Prüfung der Zitate und den Gedanken, nur geprüfte Zitate aufzunehmen. Ausserdem war die Frage, ob auch kurze Konservationen oder eher alltägliche Zitate (wie z.B. zwischen Schülern und Lehrern) aufgenommen werden. Allgemein gesehen ist Wikiquote eher ein langsames Projekt, ähnlich dem Wiktionary am Anfang. Mit einem steigernden Bekanntheitsgrad sollte das Wikiquote wachsen können. -- MichaelDiederich 22:08, 2 Nov 2004 (UTC)

The german-speaking Wikiquote was started at 18 July 2004 and contains in the moment about 800 pages. I am a temp-beaurcat and we have some few temp-admins, die already was in request for adminship. Unfortunately we all got to less votes and nobody was elected. In the Wikiquote there were some discussions about the "check" of the statements and only to save proven statements. In addition, there was the question about daily-like conversations or statements between pupils and teachers e.g. In general, the wikiquote is slow growing like the wiktionary in the beginning. Japanese Wiktionary is still in a cradel. There are few active users including unregistered ones, they have prepared documents needed slow but steadily. October saw a new contribution q:ja:孔子 (Confucius). --Aphaia
