This is an old (2003) failed proposal which never took off; there's no such a thing as a Wikipedia board, but you may be looking for the Arbitration Committee.
The ideal Wikipedia board is just a fantasy, right now. How should we actually go about recruiting Wikipedia's board? How does this relate to the funding we require to keep expanding and translating and recruiting editors?
