This was my first ever wiki-event in which I had the opportunity to interact with the other Indian community Wikipedians. The event was very informative and full of excitement to me. Various communities all over India shared their queries, problems, and plans in the different planned sessions. We came to know the pace and working strategies of other communities and compared them to ourselves. We learned and installed some new tools on our wiki, which could be very useful in our various future wiki events, such as: creating citations, etc. Also, the main emphasis was on the quality of content creation in the wiki articles, which according to me is the really concerned issue with our Punjabi community Wikipedia and as an outcome we all planned to work on creating the quality articles and improving the already created content on our wiki projects. ਧੰਨਵਾਦ - Jagmit Singh (talk) 17:30, 20 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

This was my first advanced training program and i enjoyed a lot learning the new ideas about various Wikipedia tools. All the sessions were very informative. Some of the members of the training program were very skillful in various techniques and i learned a lot from them. I learned a lot in this Wiki training which includes google advanced search, phabricator, wikilibrary etc. Also i learned about how to find the reliable and authentic references and which type of references are convenient to different types of articles. In addition to this, i also learned about the basic and major problems of various communities while editing Wikipedia and to add new members to Wikipedia. Some of the discussions were very interesting in the the training (like Neutral Point of view). I Studied various tools which were very useful in editing Wikipedia. Some of these tools are very time saving. Our Community planned to work on good articles and we also presented our views on the same. We also take the suggestions (on how to make a good article) from other communities and heard their views also.Nirmal Brar Faridkot (talk) 06:56, 3 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

During Wiki Advanced Training, I met with different community members. We exchanged our knowledge, thoughts, and experiences. I learned a lot from this event. The sessions and discussions were good and brought many new ideas to every community. I got to know the basics of Phabricator, how it works and how it can be used. I learned about Google Advanced Search, Wiki Library, Reliable sources, the General structure and Layout of an article, which should be followed for an article, Neutral Point Of View, Citoid tool and information related to GA, FA articles. The Reference Discussion was going very well at the event and discussion about types of articles we should give our first focus on our local community. - Satpal Dandiwal (talk) 17:24, 8 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Wiki Advanced Training was a really important for the whole Indic community as it helped us understand about our limitations which included lack of locally relevant policies on Indic Wikipedias. The activity where we looked at 5 random pages from different Wikipedias was really interesting. I had the opportunity to talk about some content creation activities such as Women in Red and I co-presented about the Notability criteria with KCVelaga. I am really glad that after the event, Punjabi community is now engaged in forming a locally relevant Good article criteria and also working on the Manual of Style.

Jay Prakash from Hindi community helped me to fix the citoid tool on Punjabi Wikipedia.

Punjabi Wikimedians and CIS-A2K also had a small meet in which our plan for Punjabi Wikisource as a focused project was discussed.
