Key question:

What can we reasonably accomplish?

Examines whether the proposed program and activities are possible
Assesses whether the proposed objectives are possible within the proposed plan and timeline

Evaluation in Action: A Feasibility Assessment

After completing the needs assessment, the chapter decided to host Wiki Loves Monuments that focused on monuments in rural and small towns. However, they were not sure whether they had the resources to complete the event.

They conducted a feasibility assessment to examine their resources.

How much money would it take to build and maintain a website? Did they have enough volunteers who can spend hours working on promoting and producing the event? Was there access to internet or enough interest in photography in these small towns? Did they have funds to support group travel to these small towns? Did they have the tools and ability to promote the event in your country? Was there a list of monuments produced by their country or did they need to create one? Would they have to spend volunteer hours creating the list on Wikipedia?

These are just some of the many questions and concerns they had before they implemented the program. A feasibility study allowed them to make an informed decision about the resources available and needed to implement the program in their country this year.
