PhilWiki Community/Outreach/Wiki Takes Bacolod

Wiki Takes Bacolod is a photo scavenger hunt and free-content photography outreach activity where participants take as many photographs as possible of sights in the City of Bacolod for Wikipedia articles that need them. The activity is scheduled on October 26 - 27, 2024 during the MassKara Festival.

Bacolod is the largest city and capital of the province of Negros Occidental wherein it is geographically situated and grouped under the province by the Philippine Statistics Authority, but governed administratively independent. It is one of the two regional centers of Negros Island Region (the other one is Dumaguete). It is also the center of the Bacolod metropolitan area, which also includes the cities of Silay and Talisay.

The activity is open to existing contributors and to new contributors on Wikimedia Commons. Participants must have an existing account and they must be familiar with the mission of Wikimedia Commons and how to uploading photographs on the website.
