To create a global, universal list of sources accepted by impartial editors and admins, in regards to controversial subjects. There is a growing trend towards discrepancies between language versions in articles regarding controversial subjects. The purpose is to curb instances of WP:GAME violations where for a particular subject's article, regular article editors in one language will attempt to violate WP:OR and WP:POV in a sublime manner by engaging in WP:GAMES. Chief amongst which is deciding which sources are valid and which are not, which affect the content of the articles in question - sometimes greatly, depending on factors like the subject and the nationality of the editors involved. For example, compare the WP:EN Falkland Islands articles with their Spanish, French, and German counterparts. The intended effect for this project is therefore to create a list of WP-accredited materials regarding controversial topics, and translations, which cannot be removed by editors and are applicable equally to all languages. This would greatly reduce the amount of mediation and arcom cases, reduce or prevent edit wars, and be have an overall positive effect on WP's mission.
