The Karavali Wikimedians Users Group is conducting MC Phase 2 Discourses as a part of the Movement Strategy and Governance, targeting at the representation of KVL and the Tulu community in the Movement-wide Movement Charter consultations and feedbacks.

For a better understanding of the Preambles, Roles and Responsibilities Chapter of the Charter, Hubs, Global Council and its translation into Tulu, and planning to conduct a series of meetups for this, :

• 03 November 2023, online meeting with community consultation.
• 08 November 2023 an conference call with community members
• 12 November, 2023 discussed the translation to Tulu Language
• 14 November 2023, an in-person meeting with Dr Vishwanatha Badikana, Mr Ashay Badikana, Ms Saroja
• 20 November, 2023, Individual consultation and feedback about their translation and understanding
• 25 November 2023, Individual consultation through phone calls and feedback taken about their translation and understanding
• 30 November 2023, An online call with Dr. Manavpreet Kaur, Member, Affiliations Committee,Wikimedia Foundation
• 03 December 2023, Had an in-person meetup with a community member and had lunch.

Input from online meetings

• Dr. Manavpreet Kaur provided comprehensive information about hubs and the Global Council, elucidating the reasons, locations, and methodologies involved in establishing these hubs. The primary objectives of the hubs were thoroughly deliberated with the Karavali Wikimedians. She adeptly addressed queries from the Karavali Wikimedians, ensuring a clear understanding of the discussed topics.
• MCDC was the focal point of discussion throughout the meeting. Wikimedians were guided through the key aspects of creating a hub, including its roles and responsibilities.
• She emphasized that a hub plays a crucial supportive role in addressing various challenges faced by communities, encompassing areas such as legal matters, community health, fund receiving, proposal writing, and more
