Hi, I’d like to request translation adminship here on Meta. I am already experienced with translatewiki.net and with translation “the old way” on Wikimedia Commons.
Double purpose: understanding better how the system works to work on the possible deployment on Wikimedia Commons (kind suggestion of Nemo) ; but I would be interested in using the Translation system for our chapter reports translations, which we currently do the old way.
If you think this description does not warrant full rights, I am perfectly fine with a temporary flag for my first purpose, that I would test temporarily with the second purpose.
Thanks for your consideration! Jean-Fred (talk) 23:22, 29 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

- Support: Jean-Fred is a very experienced sysop elsewhere and in Commons; while he doesn't have many edits here on Meta, he's been around for many years and he knows multilingual wikis so well that he surely won't have any problem. Moreover, it would surely be nice for the chapter reports to be quickly marked for translation and his technical knowledge makes me confident he will learn quickly and won't do any harm. Note: Meta:Translation administrators doesn't have any time requirement for requests like this, I think 48 h or less should be enough. --Nemo 11:29, 31 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
