Hi, I'm Eric. I'm mainly active on Chinese Wikipedia, where I'm an rollbacker and partoller there. I've been translating and marking pages for translation on Meta-Wiki for a while, and after keep asking (or waiting for) other translation administrators for assistance, now I decide to request for translation adminship to make my translation work more streamlined, as I no longer have to bother others for any tiny changes to be marked as translated. Besides, I would like to support zh-related content translation overall as well, though not going to be strictly sticked to Chinese only. I would use the right wisely and carefully. Thank you. —— Eric LiuTalk 08:40, 29 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Some minor wording issues in your message. Can you link a page you have prepared for translation (where you have added translate tags) please, so we can check whether you know internationalization syntax, please? -- Pols12 (talk) 14:07, 29 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Here's the diff. —— Eric LiuTalk 15:32, 29 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Pols12 Any issues on your side? Thanks. Camouflaged Mirage (talk) 08:33, 6 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the ping.
There are some segmentation issues in the diff: you should add an empty line after each heading and you should not close translate tag just before opening it to separate paragraphs: this is automatically handled. Also, it is usually better to split big lists into individual units. And you have forgotten to exclude user list from translatable content.
Can you fix these issues before I fully support your application? -- Pols12 (talk) 12:27, 6 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
After consulting 1234qwer1234qwer4 earlier before, I'd now understood how the mechanism works. (And he had fixed the page before I could, that's when I realized what should I do instead) —— Eric LiuTalk 12:34, 6 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Decide to try one more time on another page, hope this time it's better. —— Eric LiuTalk 12:52, 6 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
