Hi, could you give us temporary Bot status? It is needed to create the initial subpages on meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/DBpedia/ontology User:Duesentrieb suggested this space for the DBpedia project. We will create only subpages like DBpedia/ontology/Actor and such. I will put a request for removal below, when we are done, thanks SebastianHellmann 22:36, 3 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Moved from SRB. --Erwin 20:43, 4 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Comment I would suggest that it would be helpful to provide details on User:DBpedia-Bot as to who operates the bot. Thanks. Adambro 20:48, 4 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- ok, I did that. It should only be a temporary bot, which will run for half an hour maybe and create subpages. please don't make me write a complete documentation SebastianHellmann 15:24, 5 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Thanks. That's perfectly adequate for me. I have no other concerns with this. Adambro 09:26, 6 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

- Is this best on meta? Isn't it more of a Wikiproject kind of thing that should be done locally? MBisanz talk 00:05, 5 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Yes we started in Wikipedia.org, but then there is really no space there. Article space is a no-go and subpages are not allowed. The Wikipedia project could have immense advantages by DBpedia, without wasting any resources. See for example the RelationFinder (not working for a couple of days) or the Faceted Browser(working) SebastianHellmann 15:24, 5 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Will I get any answer? it is only a small thing, which shouldn't cause a lot of discussion. We could start here at first. It is easy to move the pages later very easily, if we find a better place.SebastianHellmann 09:23, 6 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Comment — Edits looks OK for me. Do you still need bot flag? According to this I guess that you have finished the work; or perhaps you mean the bot will not be editing more til the bot flag is granted? Can you please clarify? Thank you. —Dferg (disputatio) 16:44, 7 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Comment - I don't mind a botflag, but only if there will be new edits not when its done. Huib talk 17:20, 7 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- We checked and actually my colleague stopped the script, when we read your message. So If we stick to the one minute per update rule, we don't need a botflag? then we would just continue without it at a rate of maybe 3 minutes per edit. SebastianHellmann 13:32, 9 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Well, Meta has sometimes a slow RC feed so 1 edit per minute is not going to clutter the recent changes page but t may flood a bit sometimes. As I previously said I do not mind a bot flag on Your account only if You are going to make more work with it (otherwise it will not have any sense). I'm going to ping a bureaucrat to have a look at this request. Thanks, —Dferg (disputatio) 13:46, 9 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Done This looks reasonable; that account is now a bot. Sj+ translate 09:40, 15 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
