Introduction

An introductory meetup is organised by Hindi Wikipedia at Indira Gandhi National Museum of mankind,Bhopal. briefing the participants about the competition” Wiki loves monuments” being conducted by Wikimedia India.

Aim

The aim of this meet up was to introduce “Wiki loves monuments “ competition to various photography clubs, societies and their members, in Bhopal.

Flow of Event

The main aim of this meetup was to introduce “ Wiki loves monuments - 2016” competition to members of various photography clubs and societies at Bhopal and encourage them to participate in the competition and make it a success. In this meet up ,more than 91 participants took part and this was a very successful programs.They were also introduced with creative commons licences and how to release their photographs on Wiki-commons so that those photographs can be used in various Wiki projects. We are looking forward for their valuable contribution in future.

Outcome/Achievement

The members of various photography clubs of Bhopal ,admired the meetup program and were of the view that they have learnt new things about Wikipedia and creative commons and are likely to participate in the "wiki loves monuments" competition.

Followups

A WhatsApp group of all the participants was created and were invited for a photo walk.
