Maithili Wikimedinans/Affiliate-led events for Wikimedia Movement Strategy discussions/Events edit

The Affiliate-led events for Movement Strategy discussions is going to be held on the 5th August 2017, at Kathmandu, Nepal.The Wikimedia movement is beginning a movement-wide strategy discussion, a process which will run throughout 2017. this discussion is that, we expect to add Maithili Wikimedians’ voice, opinion and ideas to this global idea exchange platform. For 15 years, Wikimedians have worked together to build the largest free knowledge resource in human history. This movement strategy discussion will focus on the future of our movement: where we want to go together, and what we want to achieve. We hope to design an inclusive process that makes space for everyone: editors, community leaders, affiliates, developers, readers, donors, technology platforms, institutional partners, and people we have yet to reach. We would like to come up with detailed analysis and speculations about the current situation of the Wikimedia movement, how do we want to see it in next 5, 10, 20, or 30 years, What are the necessary steps to be taken for it, what are the problems and obstacles, and how those can be resolved. We’ll have special focus on community building, and increasing reach of Maithili Wikimedia projects. Today, we are more than a group of websites. We are a movement rooted in values and a powerful vision all knowledge for all people. As a movement, we have an opportunity to decide where we go from here.
