What is "deleting a global account"?

I had noticed some users had their global accounts deleted. What does this mean? MechQuester (talk) 00:17, 21 February 2017 (UTC)

It means that rather than one single unified account (master, and across all wikis), that there is just a string of individual accounts for the wikis. I thought that we had stopped deleting as it was pointless, and ugly. Clearly I am not keeping up with the Joneses.  — billinghurst sDrewth 05:25, 21 February 2017 (UTC)

Update archive header

Someone needs to add 2015, 2016, and 2017. A search box would be useful as well. Nfitz (talk) 00:24, 18 December 2017 (UTC)

Disable automatic signon

Is there a way to disable the automatic signon? Being blocked in one project, anytime I accidentally browse there, while signed into or working on a different project, the autoblock automatically blocks the IP I'm coming from, which at times takes out large chunks of our corporate IP users, if they try and edit. Which doesn't concern me as much, as it also publicly identifies the User account I've been using on that IP address to anyone else with the same IP address (how this doesn't violate the Privacy policy I don't know).
