Tell us about how you contribute currently, and how you would contribute if WMF were to gift a used laptop to you. I have been a member of the organizing team of most of projects organized in Ghana such as Wiki Loves Monuments, Wiki Loves Africa, Wiki Indaba 2017, etc. I am moving into local wikis such as the Twi Wikipedia because there is a lot of work to be done in such wikis. I mostly facilitate edit-a-thon events in Ghana which requires the use of a laptop. The laptop I am currently using belongs to the company I work for and is not in a very good condition. There are times, I have to release the laptop to other employees at work so they can use. I would be leading an edit-a-thon workshop at this year’s African Summit on Women and Girls in Technology and using this laptop for this event is going to be difficult and embarrassing at such a gathering. All things Wikimedia will be the sole purpose of the laptop, ranging from editing to technical projects for the Wikimedia movement. I am going to use the laptop for volunteering cases solely for Wikimedia projects.
