Thank you for this request, nextNikolai, and for your work to support open access culture. Although it sounds like important work, we are not able to fund your request based on the following criteria explained in the Travel and Participation Support page:
- Contribution record: We require a history of engaging with Wikimedia projects and communities, and your record shows that this request is your only editing contribution to our projects.
- Investment: The costs of participation do not seem well balanced with respect to the potential outcomes and impact.
- Level of participation: A twenty minute talk is not likely to produce outcomes sufficient to warrant the cost of this request.
For these reasons, it does not make sense for Wikimedia to fund this request. We welcome future requests from you that may be a better fit and wish you all the best in your future work.
