Grants talk:TPS/Alexey M./Aerial photography for Wikipedia articles in Switzerland

Thank you for your submission and aerial photography for Wikipedia project, Alexey M. However, we will not be able to fund your request. It is out of scope for the Travel and Participation Support grant program, which offers funding for active participation in an event like speaking at a conference, hosting a hackathon session, or holding a workshop. We recommend reaching out to your local chapter for help with funding. Also, your proposal may be a better fit with our project and event grants (PEG) program. If interested, please connect with KHarold (WMF), and she will be able to help you with possibly submitting a request for PEG. Again, thank you for your interest in the TPS grant program. We encourage you to submit requests in the future that are within the scope for TPS. Many thanks for your contribution and good luck with your project!-- Best wishes, Jtud (WMF) (talk) 21:46, 30 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

Dear Janice, The local chapter, WMCH, agreed to reimburse the travel expenses after the completion of the project. I shoot aerial photos only on sunny calm days, but for the second week there is no sun here. So, indeed, 1-day-Travel passes solution (with 50% discount), when the weather forcast is OK, suggested by the WMCH, is a better idea. Thank you again for your advice, Alexey M. (talk)

@Alexey M.: I'm glad to learn that WMCH is able to support your project and also provide some guidance. I appreciate your letting us know. Best wishes for many more sunny picture-taking friendly days in your future :) -- Cheers, Jtud (WMF) (talk) 17:21, 13 October 2015 (UTC)Reply
