Grants talk:TPS/AbhiSuryawanshi/Harvard India Conference and Wiki Workshop

Thank you for your submission, AbhiSuryawanshi, and for your idea to conduct a Wikimedia-related workshop at the Harvard India Conference. We have decided not to fund your request based on the following criterion, which is explained on the Travel and Participation Support page:

Investment: The cost of the request is too high with respect to the potential outcomes and impact.

Especially since you are not participating in the main conference program as a presenter (or in another active capacity), we do not believe that the post-conference workshop will have enough benefits to the Wikimedia movement to compensate for the cost of expensive international travel to this event.

We understand that this news may be disappointing, but we encourage you to submit requests for your participation in events that have a greater potential for impact, or require less expensive international travel. We also recommend submitting requests a bit farther in advance of the event dates, to allow for more thorough review on our end and easier planning on yours.
