Grants talk:Project/Wiki Loves Monuments international team/2020 coordination/Final

Report accepted edit

I'm accepting this report, with the following comments:

  • Congratulations on completing another campaign year. A huge lift, depending on the generosity of many volunteers.
  • The winning photos for 2020 are really wonderful. As always, I just loved seeing these.
  • Great participation.
  • I would like to have seen a more explanation for unfulfilled project impact targets, such as the difficulty with progress in the shift towards Wikidata, and the documentation for heritage enthusiasts. Was this just due to COVID, or other obstacles that could be identified? Sounds to some extent like limits in volunteer capacity, and transitions happening with long-standing members of the international team.
  • Similarly, it would be nice to know more about the obstacle or decision point for not publishing the traditional jury report. Was this also simply a workload/capacity issue?
  • I appreciated the thought-work reflected in the “Next Steps and Opportunities” section, in terms of knowledge equity, shifting significance of monuments in many parts of the world, and the idea of hiring a DEI consultant.

Thank you for the huge contribution you make each year with this campaign.
