Grants talk:Project/Rapid/Wikimedians of Cameroon User Group/Wiki Loves Women editathons in Buea and Bamenda/Report

Accepted edit

Hello, Geugeor, thank you for submitting the final report of Wiki Loves Women editathons in Buea and Bamenda. I have the following comments and questions:

  • In the final report you stated that there is 36.9 USD remaining funds. We confirm that you can use this amount toward future mission-aligned activities.
  • We’re sorry that because of the tense security situation you were not able to implement some of the planned activities. Nevertheless, we’re glad that you and the participants stayed safe and secure. Is there any progress regarding the security situation in Bamenda and Cameroon?
  • In the final report I could see the link to the dashboard used for the first session. Have you used the dashboard for other training sessions? Could you provide the links?
  • It’s wonderful to hear that you now have free workspace for your future meetings and trainings. In this regard, are you planning any future activity at this workspace?
  • Congratulations on achieving most of your goals. You did a great job having over 60 participants who edited a many valuable articles.

Thank you again for all the hard work you’ve put in organizing these editathons and for your contributions to Wikimedia projects. I have accepted your final report and expense documentation. This grant is now complete. Best regards, DSaroyan (WMF) (talk) 06:00, 7 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hello DSaroyan (WMF) and Thank you for approving our report. Some answers to your questions:

  • Only 2 regions in Cameroon are in a very unstable situation; In buea, you can undertake some activities because at times it is a bit calm, unlike Bamenda.
  • Links to dashboards:

- Session in Buea - InterwikiWomen collaboration - Session in Goethe - January - Session in Goethe - February - Session in Goethe - March - Session in Goethe - April - Session in Goethe - May

This weakens our action in this city.

Thank you again for all your comments and for the support of the Foundation. Regards, --Geugeor Georges (talk) 11:17, 7 January 2020 (UTC)Reply
