Dear Jadnapac, thank you for submitting this final report and expense documentation. We have reviewed both and accepted the expense documentation. We have left some comments and questions for you below in regards to the final report and once we resolve those we should be able to also accept this report and close the grant.

Questions

Congratulations on achieving most of your goals for this first-time grant! We’re happy you were still able to add or improve more articles than anticipated, despite having mostly new participants 1.Since so many of your participants were first-timers, have you done anything since the event to stay in touch with them and keep them engaged?

Yes, so after the event we got chance to introduce the participants to our meta page, social media platforms which we normally use for follow up.One of the Specific way is that we joined them in our WhatsApp group where they have access to ask different questions regarding Wikimedia Foundation projects and get answered by different members in it,its easy for them to get acquainted with relevant skills. Another method we used was sending them invitation links to Wikimedia projects online training to make them continue exploring different skills and experience.Jadnapac (talk) 19:23, 2 December 2019 (UTC)Reply

2.You mentioned that some people were uncomfortable with the LGBT issue. How do you plan to address covering these types of issues in the future?

Respecting People's Diversity is one of the important things that was raised in different discussions during Wikimedia gathering including Strategy Salons and Youth Salons towards Wikimedia 2030. One of the suggestion was that before implementation of a project especially the new ones, there should be a clear explanation as to what the project is all about and let the people decide if they are Ok to participate or not considering their moral values, culture they believe in as well as the National Laws concerning the matter. In Tanzania generally LGBT related matters are considered to be a serious Criminal Offense against the National laws and anyone associating in anyway with those issues may be faced with legal matters including imprisonment of at-least 5 years or even more maximum punishment more than that in prison if found guilty, as the reason most of the people don't want to get involved with it.Jadnapac (talk) 19:23, 2 December 2019 (UTC)Reply

3.Please edit the “Grant funds spent” section of this report to include an itemized breakdown of your expenses as they correspond to the receipts you submitted. You do not need to build a table if you do not wish to, but you do need to include each expense (item and amount), and the total spent, in this section. Once you add this information we should be able to accept the report.

Noted with thanksːJadnapac (talk) 19:23, 2 December 2019 (UTC)Reply
