Grants talk:Project/Rapid/Wiki Loves Earth Bolivia

Hello Caleidoscopic, thank you for submitting this Rapid Grant proposal. We are happy to see the Bolivian community joining the Wiki Loves Earth contest! We have reviewed your proposal and have the following follow up questions and comments:

  • In the proposal you mentioned that you would have experienced Wikimedians for jury work. Could you please add their Wikimedia usernames to the request page? Additionally, can you add the usernames of other organizers/team members supporting the project? Here you can find more information on how to find jury members and organize the selection process.
  • Can you clarify further on the nature of 100 USD expenses you mention for 4th to 5th prize, wikimedia souvenirs (stickers and postcards)? Additionally, it will be helpful if you can indicate in the proposal the type of prizes you’ll be giving to the best participants. According to the Rapid Grant funding criteria, we cannot fund cash prizes for contests or other competition winners.
  • You mention in the Resource needed section, “Internet connection for two people in each one of the main three cities of our country in a 350 USD budget”. Could you specify for whom this will be used for? Additionally, you mention other expenses for transportation, office articles and snacks. Can you explain who would be traveling, the kind of transportation they would use, and where they would be going?
  • There is a mention of the award ceremony for local winners. As per our latest guidelines, we are no longer approving grants for offline events until further notice. Could you please confirm that no offline (in-person) meetings and events will be organized in terms of this grant?
  • Can you mention the channels (and their links where applicable) that are being used for notifying about the contest? Can you also update the project page link for Wiki Loves Earth Bolivia on Wikimedia Commons (or whichever place applicable) in the request page?

Please let us know, once you make the required changes, so we can move forward with your grant request. Regards, RSharma (WMF) (talk) 10:10, 5 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

Request for a change to the completion date for our grant

edit

We are requesting an extension of the project completion date for Wiki Loves Earth Bolivia The new proposed completion date will be march,30. We require an extension because we had to make some changes in the dates of some events to adjust to those changing circumstances related to the pandemic. We request that WMF adjust the reporting schedule for our grant so that we have enough time to finish our final report. We still expect to achieve our stated project goals, and possibly even increase participation. Since april it is a time of year less busy than march when we have some activities about the women month. We are developing some activities like the articles competition yet. Sincerely, Caleidoscopic (talk) 14:28, 9 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hello Caleidoscopic, thanks for posting this extension request. I approve it; the new grant end date is March 30, 2021, with the reporting due date on April 30, 2021. Best regards, DSaroyan (WMF) (talk) 09:26, 10 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
