Hello bachounda, thanks for submitting this grant request and for organizing the Wiki Loves Africa contest in Algeria. I reviewed your application and have the following requests:

• Please announce this project on your community pages on Wikimedia projects and add a link to the announcement(s) to the proposal page.
• Please reduce the Jury prize budget to 100 USD. This is the maximum amount we allow for WLA applicants.
• Similarly, please reduce the total prize budget to 350 USD.
• Is this grant requested on behalf of Algeria Wikimedians User Group?

Thanks @DSaroyan (WMF): for your review; We have just made the changes in line with your guidelines.

• The amounts requested have been reduced
• The project is already mentionned on international page and now he's on a his proper landing page on commons Wiki Loves Africa 2021/Algeria and shared on WLA algeria facebook page.
• Finaly please note that this is a Individual Rapid Grant although managed by the members of WikiDZ aka Algeria Wikimedians User Group.

Hello bachounda, thanks for your response. I have some additional comments:

• Although this grant will be processed as an individual one, it will be credited to the Algeria Wikimedians User Group since you and other team members are from this User Group.
• Algeria Wikimedians User Group is currently noncompliant with the WMF reporting requirements. We will need you to submit your annual report through the Wikimedia Affiliates Data Portal, so that we can move forward with this grant request.
• Could you announce your project on the talk page of your User Group page on Meta and add the link to the proposal page?

in addition to the previous message... for this project, according to a timeline already prepared in advance, usually events with prizes are only announced to the public (large communities) after the reception of sponsors.

The discussion page is not used by our community for the projects and can be consulted using the meta page mentioned below, and the channels like the messenger, telegram and mailing list. Can you give us more explanation about the reasons for your request and the reasons for posting on this discussion page for the project?

• The annual report at https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikimedia_Algeria/Gestion/Reports/Repport2020 approved by the WikiDZ, and submitted to the portal and posted on many mailing list and different social media channels such. The mailing list of the Algerian Wikimedians <wikimedia-dz@lists.wikimedia.org>, wikifranca@lists.wikimedia.fr, wikiar-l@lists.wikimedia.org, Wikimedia Affiliates <all-affiliates@lists.wikimedia.org> on Jan 10, please check the [page].

I understand that this is a criterion of ineligibility. and I really don't know how long it will take for the report to be approved, except if I send a remind to Wikimedia Affiliates Data Portal team in charge.

• As WikiDZ we annually publish the following Action plan updated every year since 2016 and that is our latest 2021 action plan containing action plan guidelines; However we have a specific channel to communicate with our communities and for the 2021 annual activities on meta we use this WikiDZ project page to follow with all the communities.
