Short report for WLE 2021 in MA

• Goals
  • Given the high participation (compared to the W4HR photo contest), we believe that it was a good idea to use the funds for WLE and that we had a successful contest.
• Outcome
  • Uploads: 448 (compared to 11 in W4HR)
  • Participants: 134 (of which 124 are newcomers) ref
• Learning
  • We use several rounds in the jury process using the tool “montage”. The results from the first round are relevant images that we will use in wikipedia articles.
  • Announce the results by tagging the winners in social media. ref Gives incentives for photographers to get visible and participate in future contests.
• Finance
  • 3 gift cards (100 - 60 - 40 EUR) or a total of 200 EUR (2 052 SEK) was spent

Remaining funds have been used or will be used for other approved mission-aligned activities. This use has been requested in writing and approved by WMF.

• • Hence, a remainder of 76 SEK
