Hello Tofeiku and Wikimedia Community User Group Malaysia, thanks again for submitting the grant request. It is great to learn that you plan to run a national photography competition to document the cuisine of Malaysia. I reviewed the application and have two requests:
- Given the scope of your contest and the limited budget of the Rapid Grants, we think that the amount of prize expenses (1,464.14 USD) is too extensive. Please reduce this amount by at least three times; we will only approve a maximum budget of 500 USD for prizes. Kindly make the requested change and update the total requested budget in the probox (rights sidebar).
- You mentioned that you would announce this project in Malay Wikipedia. However, we now require all grantees to announce their projects and receive the Wikimedia community feedback in advance. Could you please announce this project and grant on the relevant community pages on the target wikis (Malay Wikipedia)? Community notification may be most appropriate on a village pump, talk page, or mailing list. Please paste a link into the proposal page to where the relevant communities have been notified of this proposal, and to any other relevant community discussions.

- Hello, DSaroyan (WMF). Thank you for your response. I have addressed the two requests as written below:
- The prize expenses have been adjusted from 1,464.14 USD to 432.23 USD to comply to the 500 USD limit.
- I have announced this project to the Malay Wikipedia community over here, and so far we've also garnered the support of two other active users from the community.
