Alcool, security and permits
editInteresting budget items. :) --Nemo 13:44, 12 November 2017 (UTC)
- @Nemo bis:Hi Nemo!... I know... this is a cultural thing here to have a 5@7 formula (after work) where you have food and drinks. We do not ask for that on regular contribution days (and I don't even drink myself!!). This is an important detail if you want to get the attention of "VIP" people, to our point of view. - I forgot to mention... Just to clarify - security and permit are mandatory. We chose to go with BAnQ because they are our partners and we do not have to pay rental fees. Otherwise, renting a full auditorium and atrium (660$*2 + taxes) would be expensive for this kind of activity. BAnQ may pay for the security agent. --Thekidpossum (talk) 14:40, 13 November 2017 (UTC)

editHello Thekidpossum, thank you for your proposal and organizing this Wikipedia awareness activity. You also have a good plan in place for following up with participants after the event. Thank you for also adding the Facebook event link to your page. Would it also be possible to livestream the event through Facebook live or Youtube so those who can't make it in person can participate. If you end up livestreaming it will also be a great thing to include a link to the event in your report afterwards. Not necessary just a suggestion. Please note that we require a Friendly Space Policy for all WMF-funded events. You can read an example policy here and let us know if you have any questions about it. I will go ahead and approve your request. Best regards, WJifar (WMF) (talk) 22:33, 21 November 2017 (UTC)
- @WJifar (WMF): Hello Woubzena, thank you! Livestream would be technically more complex (as we will not have any technician to help - >>additional cost that I decided not to take), but we will try to record it with our own equipment. If it's a good quality video (and sound...), we will put it on YouTube. I was rather thinking about a Twitter conversation. My colleague may be able to help, with the @_Acfas account and Benoit may be able to take the WMCA account. If so, I will add all the information in the report. I took note of the Friendly Space Policy, and I'll brief our volunteers about it. Best regards, --Thekidpossum (talk) 14:10, 22 November 2017 (UTC)
