Grants talk:Project/Rapid/SuperHamster/Wikipedia Asian Month 2018: Preparation

Money transfer fees
editBased on Asian Month 2017 transfer fees of about $110 (each bank wire transfer fee is typically $25), I suggest that $40 may be insufficient for 2018, depending, of course, on how many wire transfers there may be. PayPal transfer fees were only about $10 last year. - Becksguy (talk) 17:31, 26 July 2018 (UTC)
Approval
editHello SuperHamster thank you for the wonderful work you've been doing with Wikipedia Asian Month. I'm sorry I missed your team at Wikimania in Cape Town. I would have loved to meet you in person. I am approving your grant request for Wikipedia Asian Month 2018. I just wanted to ask one additional thing:
- Would you like to request the t-shirts, stickers and pins by following the instructions on how to request swag?. If so we can remove the $550 from your grant and take care of that for you separately. Please let me know if that makes sense. Best regards, WJifar (WMF) (talk) 13:24, 26 July 2018 (UTC)
- @WJifar (WMF): Aww no - I'll have to catch you at a future conference!
- Thank you for the approval. For the t-shirts, stickers, and pins, we were planning on doing our own custom prints with Wikipedia Asian Month branding. The shirts would be for organizers who organize edit-a-thons and other outreach events locally, while the stickers and pins would be given out at outreach events, as well as to promote the event at conferences and other venues. Please let me know if that's fine or needs adjusting. Thanks, ~SuperHamster Talk Contribs 08:06, 2 August 2018 (UTC)
- Ah I see what you need now SuperHamster. Yes this will work just fine. Thank you for clarifying. Best regards, WJifar (WMF) (talk) 18:58, 3 August 2018 (UTC)
