Hello Oludegun, and thanks for your proposal to promote developed in your last grant. This is a well-made video and I appreciate the care in which in was produced and planned. Here are my questions and comments:

  • The video file on Wikimedia Commons does not comply with certain aspects of project policy, which means it may be proposed for deletion, which I understand has happened previously. This outcome would be disruptive to your project goals. For instance, the video contains several Derivative works included in the footage that need to be detailed in the source section. These include photos of volunteers at Wikimania 2019 in Stockholm, images of the Wikipedia logo, and other images of volunteers. See this file for an example of how this can be done.

  • I would not recommend using the total number of pageviews in Nigeria using this tool [1] as a way to measure impact, as there are many other significant factors aside from this video that will impact views. I would instead recommend using the video to point to specific articles that are relevant to social inclusion. One idea would be to highlight specific biographies. You can use the pageviews tool to look at specific articles on specific Wikimedia projects. Changes in individual articles are much less variable and so changes are more likely to be caused by your outreach efforts. Are there any potential articles you could highlight and encourage viewers to review or read?

  • Between the three schools, it sounds like you will have about 75 participants in total, is that correct? Would you be able to add this to the impact section of the proposal so it is clear how many students or other individuals you plan to engage directly?
